The Making of the Cabinet at M+

Digital Strategy, Account Management

Beyond showcasing art, M+ aims to actively engage visitors with visual culture. We developed numerous opportunities for visitors to offer their own interpretations, open up dialogues, and explore the museum on their own terms. Key spaces and outputs included: The Cabinet, Audio Guide, The Mediatheque, and East Galleries Video Booth.

The Cabinet is a gallery with an open-storage panel system—allowing artworks on display to rotate every two hours. To complement the dynamic nature of the gallery, we designed an interactive game experience to help visitors engage with different topics and themes. The game can be played on iPads within the gallery, or on a visitor's own smartphone.
